one major flaw about this movie.... they didnt know any cataclysmic phenomenon was going to happen until few years before where as in reality there has been "predictions" for hundreds n hundreds of years by nostradamus and as ppl like to say the "mayans"... dec 2012 is the beginning of a new era not the end of the world the mayans had many calenders and this particuler one just happend to end on the date dec21 2012... dont let todays spiritual and political leaders misguide you we are all human beings and have minds of our own

I like the special effect the camera tricks, its good.Also, most of the comments is right. only one man knows when will be the end of the world. and that is Jesus Christ alone. so, the questiong is.. This movie is very interesting and has great effects. I have faith in god that this is not the end but just a phenomena..no one will ever know until taht day but it is too huge of a thing to not be takled about publically to be real? Also, sorry im jewish and it is God that will save this.....

also the mayans who predicted this may have been right but they are MEN not god...therefore anything man-made or man came up with may not be accurate because it is GOD who determines everything not people so have some hope!!!

But no worries the whole 2012 thing is complete B.S. I studied about the Mayans and the Mayan calendar and their calendar was based on cycles. When one cycle ended another began. So their belief was that at 2012 it would mark the end of a cycle and then a new one would begin.

So no end of the world, just a new cycle. ;)
